Job summary

Proofpoint is expanding its Field Sales organization and seeks a field-based Account Manager to join our State, Local, & EDU (SLED) team. You will manage existing clients and drive net-new sales within a named account territory, establishing Proofpoint as an IT Security trusted advisor.

The role covers Oregon and Washington, reporting to the SLED Regional Sales Director within Proofpoint's Field Sales Organization.

Qualifications

• Meet or exceed annual sales quota for new revenue and existing bookings.
• Provide accurate quarterly forecasting and proper CRM hygiene.
• Grow relationships with decision-makers and increase solution adoption.
• Develop and execute region marketing/channel plans for end users and partners.
• Proficiency with Public Sector processes and related obstacles.
• Must reside in Oregon or Washington

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned SLED accounts from prospecting to solution implementation.
• Position Proofpoint as an IT security trusted adviser for State, Local & EDU clients.
• Cover named SLED accounts within geographic region as part of Field Sales.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive outcomes.
