Job summary

First Solar is seeking a maintenance professional to perform on-site facility, equipment, and grounds maintenance in a cost-efficient manner. Requires a high school diploma/GED with multiple pathways of relevant experience and preferred journeyman status.

The role emphasizes PMs, CMMS usage, reading electrical/mechanical prints, and willingness to train others. OSHA/EPA safety practices and independent work are required. Travel not needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED and 3+ years maintenance experience
• High school diploma/GED and 5+ years in related field
• High school diploma/GED and 2-year technical school & 3+ years’ experience
• Journeyman’s Card from an accredited apprenticeship program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accomplishes daily assignments as scheduled and as directed.
• Performs the on-site service and repair of equipment.
• Must meet at least 90% of Estimated Repair Times
• Collaborates with other departments.
• Follows standard OSHA, EPA, and Company safe practices on all work assignments.
• Identifies and recommends opportunities for cost savings.
• May be asked to train other employees.
• If no tech III is available may be asked to fill in as Team Lead.
• Ability to read electrical & mechanical drawings and technical manuals.
• Responsible for adherence to all safety procedures, good housekeeping standards, and the wearing of PPE.
• Notify EHS Department if there are questions or concerns with the management of hazardous waste.
• Responsible to manage waste generated from any work that is performed.
• Other duties as assigned.
