Job summary

First Solar is seeking a Maintenance Technician 1 to perform on-site service and repair of equipment at our facility. The role emphasizes meeting scheduled tasks, safe work practices, and collaboration with other departments.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent, with a technical associate degree preferred. Various experience routes are acceptable, including military backgrounds.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s degree in a technical field preferred.
• Six months First Solar manufacturing experience, or six months outside manufacturing/mechanical/agricultural experience, or military experience, or vocational high school grad with no experience required.

Responsibilities

• Performs on-site service and repair of equipment.
• Accomplishes daily assignments as scheduled and directed.
• Must meet at least 70% of estimated repair times.
• Collaborates with other departments.
• Follows OSHA, EPA, and company safety practices on all tasks.
• Reads electrical and mechanical drawings and technical manuals.
• Performs other duties as required.
• Manages waste generated from work performed as instructed.
• Completes First Solar Maintenance Technician 1 training program.
