Job summary

First Solar is seeking a Facility Technician - II to support daily maintenance and repair of building equipment, ensuring cost-efficient operation and safety. The role requires broad technical knowledge of facility systems and a proactive problem-solving approach.

The technician will perform routine and minor electrical/plumbing tasks, coordinate with contractors, and assist with campus moves as needed. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED with manufacturing maintenance

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 5+ years in maintenance in manufacturing
• Trade experience in electrical or mechanical fields with 3 years in manufacturing
• 3+ years manufacturing with an Associate in mechanical/electrical discipline

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety procedures and housekeeping standards
• Assist with office moves and campus changes
• Maintain Perrysburg building and grounds facilities
• Assist with installation of signage and safety equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine repairs
• Handle minor electrical/plumbing tasks and small projects
• Work with inspectors, contractors, and vendors as needed
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and perform other duties as assigned
