Job summary

First Solar is seeking a Maintenance Technician 1 to perform on-site service and repair of equipment at the facility. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with a technical degree preferred, and diverse experience in manufacturing or military settings.

You will follow safety standards and work with little supervision while coordinating with other departments. Candidates should read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, operate computer tools (Word, Excel, Outlook),

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's degree in a technical field preferred.
• Must meet one of the following: 6 months First Solar manufacturing experience, or 6 months outside manufacturing, mechanical, or agricultural experience, or military experience, or vocational high school graduate.

Responsibilities

• Performs on-site service and repair of equipment.
• Accomplishes daily assignments as scheduled and as directed.
• Meet at least 70% of estimated repair times.
• Collaborates with other departments.
• Follows OSHA, EPA, and company safety practices on all work.
• Reads electrical and mechanical drawings and manuals.
• Performs other assignments as required.
• Manages waste generated from work performed as instructed.
• Completes First Solar Maintenance Technician 1 training program.
• Other duties as assigned.
