Job summary

First Solar, Inc. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform on-site service and repair of facility equipment, with emphasis on safety and reliability. Requires a high school diploma/GED and 3+ years of maintenance experience; Journeyman’s Card preferred.

Proficiency in Word/Excel/Outlook, CMMS, and reading electrical/mechanical drawings is expected. Must be able to work independently, troubleshoot complex systems, and assist in training other staff when needed.

Qualifications

• Education/experience requirements as listed: HS diploma/GED with 3+ years maintenance experience or similar.
• Journeyman’s Card preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accomplishes daily assignments as scheduled and directed.
• Performs on-site service and repair of equipment.
• Meet at least 90% of Estimated Repair Times.
• Collaborates with other departments and follows OSHA/EPA safety practices.
• Identifies cost-saving opportunities and may train other employees.
• May fill in as Team Lead if no tech III is available.
• Read electrical and mechanical drawings and technical manuals.
• Adhere to safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Notify EHS with questions about hazardous waste management.
• Manage waste generated from work.
• Other duties as assigned.
