Job summary

First Solar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform on-site maintenance of facility, equipment and grounds in a cost-efficient manner.

Eligible candidates typically hold a HS Diploma/GED with 3+ years maintenance experience or 5+ years in a related field, or a 2-year technical program with 3+ years experience; Journeyman Card preferred. Proficiency with CMMS, Word, Excel, and Outlook is expected, with strong troubleshooting and safety discipline.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED and 3+ years maintenance experience or 5+ years in related field or 2-year technical school with 3+ years experience provide eligibility.
• Journeyman Card preferred for advanced role responsibilities.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings and technical manuals.

Responsibilities

• Accomplishes daily assignments as scheduled and as directed.
• Performs on-site service and repair of equipment.
• Meet at least 90% of Estimated Repair Times.
• Collaborates with other departments.
• Follows OSHA, EPA, and company safe practices.
• Identifies opportunities for cost savings.
• May train other employees.
• Occasionally acts as Team Lead if no tech III is available.
• Possesses ability to read electrical & mechanical drawings and manuals.
• Ensure safety, housekeeping, and PPE compliance.
• Notify EHS with hazardous waste concerns.
• Manage waste generated from work.
