Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to assist the Superintendent with managing the community job site and ensuring quality, safety, and customer satisfaction throughout home construction.

You will schedule and supervise subcontractors, monitor inspections, and maintain cleanliness and safety standards while delivering on-time, within-budget homes. Regional travel and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6 months to 2 years of related experience.
• Valid driver’s license; willingness to drive between sites.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Commitment to customer satisfaction.
• Ability to read plans and construction documents.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Inspect each home daily to assure quality per plans and schedule.
• Schedule and walk inspections with inspectors.
• Review completed homes before homeowner walk-through and closing.
• Conduct homeowner orientation and ensure satisfaction.
• Assist Superintendent in managing subcontractors and safety.
• Enforce site safety and cleanliness standards across communities.
• Support construction scheduling and maintain quality within budget.
• Provide superior customer service during all construction phases.
