Job summary

D.R. Horton is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support the management of a community job site and assist in scheduling, supervising subcontractors, quality control, and safety compliance.

The role emphasizes customer service and coordination across multiple trades to deliver quality homes. Ideal candidates bring 6 months to 2 years of related experience, along with a valid driver's license and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6 months to 2 years of related experience.
• Valid driver’s license; travel among construction sites.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Commitment to customer satisfaction.
• Ability to read plans and construction documents.
• Self-management with minimal supervision.
• Ability to converse with customers and all levels of management.
• Proficient with DRH Construction apps on mobile devices.
• Proficient with MS Office and email.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Inspect each home daily to ensure quality and adherence to plans and schedule.
• Schedule and walk inspections with inspectors.
• Walk completed homes before homeowner walkthroughs and closings.
• Conduct homeowner orientation and additional walkthroughs to ensure satisfaction.
• Assist in managing subcontractors and monitoring quality, safety, schedule and cost.
• Enforce safety program and compliance with standards and codes.
• Maintain site cleanliness and proper material handling.
• Support construction schedule to deliver high-quality product on time and within budget.
• Provide superior customer service during all construction phases.
• Develop positive relations with subcontractors and homeowners.
