Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Superintendent to manage all functions of the job site for home construction. You will schedule and supervise subcontractors, conduct homeowner walk-throughs, and ensure safety and quality standards from permit to closing.

Responsibilities include coordinating schedules, ensuring on-time delivery, and maintaining overall site quality while providing excellent customer service to homeowners in designated communities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–4 years related experience in home construction.
• Must have a vehicle and valid driver’s license, able to travel among communities.

Responsibilities

• Manage the construction schedule to deliver high quality homes on time and within budget.
• Schedule subcontractors and evaluate work for code compliance and workmanship.
• Complete each home site from planning to occupancy, meeting contract obligations.
• Inspect subcontractor workmanship and halt noncompliant work.
• Authorize subcontractor payments after inspection and materials receipt.
• Oversee the customer experience during construction and communicate progress to homeowners.
