Job summary

D.R. Horton is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to assist the Superintendent in managing the community job site and delivering high-quality homes on schedule. You will help supervise subcontractors, ensure safety, inspect workmanship, and maintain homeowner satisfaction throughout construction.

The role requires strong communication skills, ability to read plans, and a commitment to customer service. Travel between construction sites and occasional overtime are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six months to 2 years related experience.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel between sites.

Responsibilities

• Inspect homes daily to ensure quality and alignment with plans and schedule.
• Schedule and conduct inspections with inspectors; walk-throughs before closing.
• Assist in coordinating subcontractors and enforcing safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper site upkeep; enforce DR Horton standards.
• Support construction schedule, control costs, and deliver high quality products on time.
• Provide superior customer service during all construction phases.
• Develop positive relations with subcontractors and homeowners.
• Understand building codes, materials, scheduling, and construction terminology.
• In absence of Superintendent, maintain schedules, policies, and guidelines.
