Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is looking for a Superintendent to oversee all job-site functions from permit to closing, coordinating subcontractors, homeowner walkthroughs, and inspections while maintaining safety and construction standards.

You will manage schedules, ensure quality, monitor budgets, and maintain continuous communication with customers and teams to deliver a superior home. The role requires travel among communities and a commitment to company standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 2–4 years related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work.
• General knowledge of municipal permitting, regulations and building codes.
• Ability to manage and complete the 13 Milestones of Construction as per JDE.

Responsibilities

• Manage the construction schedule to deliver a high-quality product on time and within budget.
• Schedule subcontractors for each phase and ensure workmanship meets plans and code requirements.
• Complete each home site from planning to occupancy and satisfy all contract obligations.
• Inspect subcontractors’ work, halt noncompliant work, and authorize payments when standards are met.
