Job summary

Humana is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance of critical automation platforms across multiple domains. The role supports production automation, incident management, and continuous improvement to enable development teams to deliver new automation capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or related technical role.
• Experience supporting production applications/automation frameworks in a large-scale enterprise.
• Strong understanding of system reliability, monitoring, alerting, incident management, and RCA.
• Experience with software testing, QA, configuration management, and production deployments.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, source code management, and release management best practices.
• Experience with automation technologies and Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Ansible, PowerShell, Python, Terraform, Selenium).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, distributed systems, and production support methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor health, availability, and performance of automation platforms and production services.
• Lead incident response, troubleshooting, and root-cause investigations.
• Improve observability with monitoring, dashboards, and operational reporting.
• Partner with development teams to enhance reliability and readiness.
• Support deployment, testing, configuration, and release activities across automation solutions.
• Drive automation of operational processes to reduce manual effort and improve stability.
• Identify and remediate production risks and implement reliability best practices.
