Job summary

Humana is seeking a Lead Site Reliability Engineer to maintain and improve software applications across the organization. You will lead incident response, coordinate testing and deployments, and advise executives on strategic directions for critical systems.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in IT/SRE/DevOps, strong communication skills, and experience with AI tooling in a regulated enterprise. This is a remote role with potential travel to Humana offices for training or meetings.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
8+ years in information technology, SRE, DevOps or Platform Engineering.
2+ years of project/technical lead experience.
Strong verbal communication skills, able to lead executive-level updates during outages.
Ability to perform root cause analysis across a multi‑system production environment.
Understanding of generative and agentic AI tools for authoring/analysis.
Passion for improving consumer experiences.
Willingness for occasional weekend escalations to support releases.

Responsibilities

Maintain, integrate and implement software applications within the organization.
Coordinate testing, quality assurance, configuration, installation and support for new software and updates.
Ensure controls over test and production systems and source code.
Advise executives on functional strategies and decisions.
Exercise independent judgment on complex issues with minimal supervision.
