Job summary

Border States Industries, Inc. is seeking a Jobsite Material Coordinator in Reno, NV to coordinate material handling, inventory, and job-site logistics across branches and customer sites.

You will support day-to-day operations, communicate with warehouses, drivers, and contractors, and ensure materials and inventories meet internal and customer expectations. The role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and a proactive, service-focused approach, with emphasis on safety, accuracy,

Qualifications

• Minimum of a two-year business/trade degree or equivalent in work experience.
• Prior construction experience including large equipment or forklift operation is required.
• Good knowledge of electrical products/systems is preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• A valid Class A CDL driver’s license and current medical certification are a plus.
• Ability to read, write and speak English; able to use handheld technology.
• PC proficiency including Windows, Internet, Email and SAP is a plus.
• Heavy material lifting experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates material deliveries, shipments, and transfers to customer sites and branches.
• Receives incoming freight and checks for damage or shortages.
• Collaborates to prepare, stage or kit material for construction activities.
• Leads setup and management of Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programs.
• Partners with customers and branch personnel on inventory changes and maintenance.
• Maintains minimum/maximum inventory levels to meet demand.
• Manages project schedule with up-to-date inventory data.
• Receives, inspects, and stages material for delivery or installation; completes order picking and returns processing.
• Monitors VMI and logistics performance metrics to ensure service quality.
