Job summary
Sorenson Communications, LLC is expanding its Video Relay Service (VRS) interpreting team in the United States and Canada. We are seeking interpreters to provide Sign-to-Voice and Voice-to-Sign services, with part-time and full-time roles available in regions including Guaynabo, PR, USA.
Expect shifting schedules Mon-Sat, 7am-7pm MT and opportunities to earn premium shifts and CEUs. Candidates should interpret between ASL and spoken English, maintain licensure, and comply with FCC and RID
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- ASL interpreting experience, 3 years preferred.
- Interpreter certification as required by local regulations.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
Responsibilities
- Interpret between ASL and spoken English.
- Maintain licensure/certification requirements.
- Comply with Sorenson standards, FCC regulations and RID Code.
- Adhere to attendance policy and complete tasks promptly.
- Maintain flexibility to meet VRS industry demands.
- Learn and implement new technologies.
- Work effectively in a team environment.
