Job summary

Sorenson Communications is expanding its Video Relay Service (VRS) with interpreters to provide Sign-to-Voice and Voice-to-Sign services in the US and Canada. We offer part-time and full-time roles in flexible schedules and opportunities for certification and advancement.

Responsibilities include interpreting between ASL and spoken English, complying with licensure/certification requirements, and adhering to FCC regulations and company policies. Training and ongoing support are provided.

Qualifications

• Pass our required skills assessment.
• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Interpreter certification as required by local regulations.
• 3 years’ experience interpreting (preferred).
• Ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, highly regulated, customer-service environment.
• Dexterity to operate a computer and peripherals.
• Regular and predictable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with licensure/certification requirements.
• Adhere to Sorenson standards and FCC regulations.
• Follow attendance policy.
• Complete tasks and paperwork promptly.
