Job summary

Sorenson Communications is expanding our Video Relay Service (VRS) interpreting team in the United States and Canada. We seek interpreters to provide Sign-to-Voice and Voice-to-Sign services, with full-time and part-time opportunities across locations.

Candidates should interpret between ASL and spoken English, maintain licensure compliance, and adhere to company standards. A combination of education, experience, and credentials is valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate's or bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
• Interpreter certification required where regulations apply.
• 3 years’ interpreter experience preferred but not required.
• Able to troubleshoot basic technical issues.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, highly regulated, customer-service oriented environment.
• Regular and predictable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Interpret between American Sign Language (ASL) and spoken English.
• Maintain compliance with licensure and certification requirements.
• Follow Sorenson standards, FCC regulations, and RID Code of Professional Conduct.
• Adhere to Sorenson attendance policy.
• Complete tasks and paperwork promptly within guidelines.
• Maintain a flexible schedule to meet VRS industry demands.
• Learn and apply new technologies quickly.
• Work effectively in a team environment with peers.
