Job summary

Sorenson Communications is expanding our Video Relay Service and seeks interpreters to provide Sign-to-Voice and Voice-to-Sign services. Full and part-time positions are available in the US and in Canada. You will interpret between ASL and spoken English, and maintain licensure as required.

We offer flexible scheduling, premium shifts to boost hourly wage, CEU credits, and licensure reimbursement up to 100% based on hours worked. 401K employer contributions are provided along with other benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
• Interpreter certification as required by local regulations
• 3 years’ interpreter experience preferred but not required
• Ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues
• Dexterity to operate keyboard and mouse and standard computer components
• Regular and predictable attendance

Responsibilities

• Interpret between ASL and spoken English.
• Maintain compliance with licensure and certification requirements.
• Follow Sorenson standards, FCC regulations, and RID Code of Professional Conduct.
• Adhere to Sorenson attendance policy and timely completion of tasks.
• Learn and adapt to new technologies and work in a fast-paced environment
