Job summary

Sorenson Communications is expanding its Video Relay Service (VRS) team and seeks interpreters to provide Sign-to-Voice and Voice-to-Sign interpreting. Full and part-time roles available in the US and Canada. A strong candidate will interpret ASL and spoken English and meet licensure/certification requirements.

Positions offer flexible scheduling, annual certification support, and opportunities to work across centers nationwide, with benefits and ongoing training to enhance interpreting skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
• Interpreter certification as required by local regulations.
• 3 years’ interpreting experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Interpret between ASL and spoken English.
• Comply with licensure/certification requirements.
• Adhere to Sorenson standards, FCC regulations, and RID code of professional conduct.
• Maintain attendance as per policy.
• Learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Work effectively in a team and fast-paced environment.
• Complete duties and paperwork promptly within guidelines.
