Job summary

Sorenson Communications is expanding our Video Relay Service (VRS) network and seeks interpreters to provide Sign-to-Voice and Voice-to-Sign services. Full- and part-time roles available in the US and Canada, with shifts Mon–Sat and the potential for premium hours.

Successful candidates will interpret between ASL and spoken English, maintain licensure requirements, and adhere to FCC and RID standards. Flexible scheduling and career growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Pass required skills assessment.
• High school diploma or GED is required; an associate's or bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Interpreter certification is required by local regulations.
• 3 years' interpreting experience is preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, regulated, customer-service environment.
• Dexterity to operate a computer and related devices.
• Regular and predictable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Interpret between ASL and spoken English.
• Maintain compliance with licensure and certification requirements.
• Adhere to Sorenson standards, FCC regulations, and RID Code of Professional Conduct.
• Follow attendance policies.
• Complete tasks, projects, and paperwork promptly.
• Maintain flexible work schedule to meet VRS industry demands.
• Learn and implement new technologies.
• Work effectively in a team and accept oversight when needed.
• Engage in ongoing skills development and training.
