Job summary

Sorenson Communications is expanding its Video Relay Service (VRS). We are seeking interpreters to provide Sign-to-Voice and Voice-to-Sign interpretation. Full and part-time roles are available across the US and Canada.

Responsibilities include interpreting ASL and spoken English, meeting licensure or certification requirements, and complying with Sorenson standards. A high school diploma or GED is required; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Pass required skills assessment.
• High school diploma or GED (required).
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Interpret between ASL and spoken English.
• Maintain licensure/certification requirements.
• Comply with Sorenson policies and FCC RID conduct.
• Complete tasks promptly within guidelines.
• Maintain flexible schedule to meet VRS demands.
• Learn new technologies quickly.
• Work effectively in a team environment.
• Accept oversight such as call monitoring and evaluations.
• Operate in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
• Pursue ongoing interpretation skills training.
• Willing to take on additional duties as needed.
