Job summary

Sorenson Communications is expanding our Video Relay Service (VRS) and seeking Interpreters to provide Sign-to-Voice and Voice-to-Sign interpreting services. Full and part-time positions are available in the US and Canada, with shifts listed for Monday–Saturday.

Interpreters interpret between ASL and spoken English, maintain licensure compliance, and uphold Sorenson standards. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, and optional higher degrees or certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required/preferred.
• Interpreter certification as required by local regulations.
• 3 years of interpreting experience preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues.

Responsibilities

• Interpret between American Sign Language (ASL) and spoken English.
• Maintain compliance with licensure/certification requirements.
• Complete tasks, projects and paperwork promptly.
• Work flexible shifts and schedules to meet VRS demands.
• Learn and implement new technologies; work in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate with team members and support colleagues.
