Job summary

MSI is seeking an on-site Showroom Design Consultant Support in Wallingford, CT. You will engage customers via phone, email, and in-person interactions, guide showroom visits, assist with product selection, and handle orders and logistics to ensure smooth showroom operations.

Responsibilities include maintaining customer records, following up on quotes, processing transactions, scheduling deliveries, and supporting trade customers with MSI materials.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; some college coursework preferred.
• 1+ year of customer service experience.
• Strong communication skills with a positive, solution-oriented attitude.
• High attention to customer needs and detail.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Goal-oriented with a focus on delivering excellent customer service.
• Strong math skills and ability to perform quick calculations.
• Proficient in PC use and navigating multi-window environments.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Assist customers in selecting appropriate products based on their needs.
• Retrieve and deliver product samples in the showroom.
• Resolve customer issues related to transactions, deliveries, and products.
• Maintain accurate customer contact information and transaction records.
• Follow up on quotes, inquiries, and sales opportunities.
• Process sales transactions, payments, and generate sales orders.
• Schedule deliveries and coordinate material shipment logistics.
• Create shipping orders and packing lists.
• Answer inbound sales calls and proactively make outbound calls.
• Maintain showroom displays to high standards.
• Monitor stock levels to ensure efficient order processing.
• Support trade customers by understanding project needs and recommending suitable MSI materials.
• Maintain and organize marketing materials for customer access.
• Collaborate with Sales Representatives to update account transactions and inventory.
• Stay informed on company products and services.
• Perform additional duties as required or requested.
