Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. is seeking a Shortage Control Associate to help maintain a secure, welcoming store environment while delivering outstanding customer service. You will monitor entrances, greet customers with a friendly attitude, conduct bag checks as needed, and report theft concerns to management.

You will also assist in training associates on shortage reduction programs and contribute to a safe and efficient shopping experience for all guests.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, asset protection, loss prevention, or operations.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and monitor the store.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
• Exhibit a positive demeanor and energetic greeting while interacting with customers.

Responsibilities

• Monitor store entrances to reduce theft opportunities and uphold security standards.
• Greet every customer with a warm, loud, friendly greeting and eye contact.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious subjects to management.
• Assist in training associates on shortage reduction programs and processes.
