Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. is seeking a Shortage Control Associate to help create a secure shopping environment while delivering outstanding customer service.

The role focuses on preventing theft, maintaining safety at entrances and high-risk areas, and supporting store leadership with loss-prevention initiatives. The candidate will engage customers and colleagues in a confident, friendly manner, adhere to dress standards, and participate in shortage reduction programs to build trust and respect

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations is preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and visually monitor store environment.
• Excellent communication with customers and co-workers.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, high-pressure environment with detailed focus and disciplined decision making.

Responsibilities

• Monitor front of store and high-risk areas to reduce theft and maintain safe environment.
• Greet customers with a warm, energetic greeting and promote a sense of control and security.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty.
