Job summary

Burlington is hiring a Shortage Control Associate to help maintain a secure shopping environment while delivering exceptional customer service. You will monitor entrances, exits, and high‑risk areas, greet customers with energy, and report theft incidents to the Manager on Duty.

We value confidence, awareness, and strong communication as you support shortage reduction programs and train associates. Part-time opportunities with benefits available; base pay starts at $15 per hour.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor entrances, exits and high-risk areas to deter theft and maintain a secure shopping environment.
• Greet every customer with a warm, energetic welcome and professional demeanor.
• Identify suspicious activity and report theft incidents to the Manager on Duty.
• Conduct bag and package checks per safety and security standards.
• Assist in training associates on shortage reduction programs and process compliance.
