Burlington seeks a Shortage Control Associate to help maintain a secure shopping environment while delivering friendly customer service. You will monitor entrances and high-risk areas, greet customers, and report incidents to the Manager on Duty.

This role emphasizes knowledge of shortage programs, teamwork, and the ability to stand for long periods in a fast-paced retail setting. Part-time position with competitive hourly pay and benefits eligibility for eligible colleagues.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations is preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and to visually monitor store environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality is required.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, high-pressure environment with detailed focus and disciplined decision making.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the entrance and high-risk areas to reduce opportunities for theft and to create a secure environment.
• Greet every customer entering or exiting with a warm, energetic greeting.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious subjects to the Manager on Duty.
• Conduct bag and package checks on store and corporate associates, ensuring safety and security standards.
