Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. is seeking a Shortage Control Associate to help create a secure store environment while delivering excellent customer service. You will monitor entrances and high-risk areas, greet customers with energy, and report any theft or suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty.

The role requires 1+ years in customer service or retail and the ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays. An associate discount and part-time benefits are available.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and visually monitor store environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to review, analyze and comprehend business trends.
• Excellent leadership skills that support productive relationships.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Monitor entrance, exits, and high‑risk areas with vigilance.
• Greet every customer with a warm smile and confident greeting.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty.
• Communicate theft prevention information during store rallies and trainings.
• Assist in training associates on shortage reduction programs.
