Job summary

Burlington in-store is seeking a Shortage Control Associate to help maintain a secure shopping environment while delivering excellent customer service. You will greet customers, monitor entrances, and identify opportunities to reduce shoplifting and other dishonest activities.

Role-model safety, train peers, and report incidents to the Manager on Duty for timely action. The position requires flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays, with a part-time schedule potentially eligible for

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and maintain confidentiality.
• Excellent communication with customers and co-workers in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet every customer entering or exiting the store with a warm smile and confident greeting.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-risk areas to reduce theft and maintain security.
• Conduct bag and package checks following safety and security standards.
• Assist in training associates on shortage reduction programs and report theft incidents to leadership.
