Job summary

Cox Fleet is currently hiring a Shop Diesel Technician II to join our team. You will perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance inspections, light and follow‑up repairs, and various diagnostics in a shop setting. You may perform more advanced diagnostics under supervision as you grow your skills.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and 3 years’ related experience (or 5 years). A valid driver’s license is required; ASE T8 certification is required or obtained within 18

Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED with 3 years’ related experience or 5 years’ related field experience.
Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain/maintain Driver Qualification File.

Responsibilities

Follow safe operating practices and procedures.
Independently determine parts required and coordinate with Parts Department.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment and assist in daily cleanup.
Apply formal training and on‑the‑job experience to diagnose and repair.
Collaborate with Service Writer to assess customer needs and expectations.
Prioritize tasks and manage multiple repair assignments.
