Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Shop Diesel Technician II to support growth. You will perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light-to-heavy repairs in a shop setting, with potential travel to customer sites. They emphasize safety, productivity, and adherence to DOT regulations.

The role offers weekly pay, safety boots and safety glasses reimbursement, uniforms and ongoing technical training, with a path toward advanced diagnostics under supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years' experience in a related field; or 5 years' related field experience.

Responsibilities

• Follow safe operating practices and procedures.
• Determine parts required for each job with Parts Department.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and assist in end-of-day cleanup.
• Interpret technical information and apply formal training to perform tasks.
• Work with Service Writer to assess customer needs and resolve issues.
• Prioritize concurrent tasks and manage time allocations.
• Comply with safety, health and environmental policies and regulations.
• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on trucks in shop.
• Travel to customer locations occasionally for work.
• Perform routine maintenance like oil changes and battery checks.
• Use hand tools, Diesel tools, welding equipment, lifts and jacks.
• Document work performed and parts used via RO in Karmak app.
