Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Shop Diesel Technician II to join our team in supporting the growth of the company. You will perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance inspections, and light to heavy-duty repairs, along with diagnostics and documentation on Repair Orders.

You’ll work under supervision to learn advanced mechanical skills, maintain safety standards, and meet performance metrics while collaborating with service writers and the shop team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field; or 5 years’ experience in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Perform licensed DOT inspections and preventative maintenance inspections.
• Conduct light to heavy-duty vehicle diagnostics and repairs under supervision.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and orderly shop practices.
• Document work performed and parts used on Repair Orders (RO) via company device/Karmak app.
• Coordinate with Shop Manager and Service Writer to obtain approvals and ensure accurate RO notes.
