Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Shop Diesel Technician II to perform licensed DOT inspections, PM inspections, and light to heavy-duty repairs in a shop environment. You will diagnose issues, use diesel tools and inspect electrical and mechanical systems.

The role requires the ability to travel to customer locations occasionally and to work with the parts department to source necessary components. Training and career growth are emphasized across safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 3 years in a related field; alternative 5 years of related experience.
• Valid driver's license; ability to obtain Driver Qualification File.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and preventive maintenance on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in a shop setting.
• Coordinate with Service Writer and Parts Department to obtain parts and approvals for repairs.
• Document all work on Repair Orders (RO) and upload photos and notes.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of the work area and shop equipment.
