Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Shop Diesel Technician II to support growth. You will perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light to medium repairs in a shop setting, with some travel to customer sites.

You’ll work under supervision to master advanced diagnostics and maintain high productivity while following safety policies. The role requires a HS diploma or GED with relevant field experience and tool proficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with relevant field experience.
• Experience performing DOT inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Ability to use hand tools and diesel diagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform licensed DOT inspections and preventive maintenance on trucks and trailers.
• Diagnose and repair light to heavy-duty systems in a shop setting.
• Coordinate with Service Writer on customer needs and RO details.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and adhere to safety policies.
• Complete DOT forms and documentation accurately and timely.
• Travel to customer sites as needed and support senior technicians.
• Operate tools, lifts, and diagnostic equipment per company standards.
