Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Shop Diesel Technician II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light to moderate repairs. This role supports growth and requires learning advanced diagnostics under supervision while maintaining safety and accuracy in all work orders.

Expect to work in a shop environment with occasional travel to customer sites. A HS diploma or GED and 3 years of related experience are required, with ASE certifications highly valued.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED and 3 years’ related experience, or alternative combination.
• Must be at least 21 years old due to interstate regulations.
• Valid state driver’s license and ability to obtain Driver Qualification File.

Responsibilities

• Perform licensed DOT inspections and Preventative Maintenance inspections.
• Conduct light to heavy-duty diagnostics and repairs under supervision.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and document work using RO systems.
• Communicate with Service Writer to assess customer needs and approvals.
• Travel to customer locations occasionally for service work.
