Job summary

RRD is seeking a Packaging Specialist to assist in daily shipping department activities, including materials movement, receiving, loading, unloading, and shipping of printed products. You will ensure orders meet customer specifications and service levels, and collaborate with multiple departments to optimize shipment processes.

The role involves handling shipments via FedEx, UPS, USPS and other carriers, maintaining documentation, and supporting production with safe, efficient material flow.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of Administrative/operational support in shipping/manufacturing operations.
• Able to apply policies, procedures, regulations, and program objectives.
• General knowledge of information systems for materials tracking and inventory control.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to use spreadsheets/databases.

Responsibilities

• Ship materials, supplies, equipment and finished products via freight or third-party carrier.
• Pack goods for shipment and prepare bills of lading; record weights and charges.
• Receive materials by unloading, verifying against bills of lading and packing slips.
• Support manufacturing areas with standard procedures and documentation.
• Operate forklifts and loading equipment to stage materials and load trucks.
• Communicate with customers, suppliers, and production to coordinate shipping.
