Job summary

RR Donnelley & Sons is seeking a shipping associate to assist daily activities in the shipping department. You will move, receive, and ship materials, perform packing, and support loading/unloading using carriers such as FedEx, UPS and postal services to meet customer specifications.

Responsibilities include verifying documents, maintaining records, operating material handling equipment, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure on-time deliveries while upholding safety and quality

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED preferred.
• At least 3 years in administrative/operational shipping support.
• Strong knowledge of material tracking, inventory and reporting systems.
• Proficient with computers and standard software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to work across departments.
• Ability to safely operate powered industrial vehicles.
• Good organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Move, receive, and ship materials and finished products using carriers or LTL services.
• Check goods against documents, prepare packing and bills of lading.
• Unload and inspect incoming materials; maintain receipt records.
• Support manufacturing with routine warehouse activities per SOPs.
• Keep files and documentation organized; ensure safety and quality standards.
• Operate handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) as required.
• Assist with outbound load planning to meet delivery targets and cost limits.
• Communicate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve issues.
• Maintain clean, organized dock areas and comply with policies.
• Assist with training new staff and participate in safety initiatives.
