Job summary

RRD is seeking a Shipping/Packaging Specialist to assist daily shipping activities, including receiving, packing, loading, and loading finished products for FedEx, UPS, and other carriers. You will verify documents, prepare bills of lading, and maintain accurate records while collaborating with customers, suppliers, and production teams.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of Administrative/operational support in shipping/manufacturing operations.
• Able to apply policies, procedures, regulations and program objectives.
• Knowledge of information systems for materials tracking and inventory control.
• Basic computer literacy and software knowledge.
• Strong written and oral communication across departments.
• Strong organizational skills to meet deadlines.
• Ability to safely operate Powered Industrial Vehicles.
• Regularly lift up to 25 pounds, up to 50 pounds, rarely over 50 pounds.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio and percentages.

Responsibilities

• Assist with shipping/receiving of materials, supplies and finished products.
• Pack items, prepare bills of lading, and attach shipping instructions.
• Receive materials, unload trucks, and verify against bills of lading.
• Support manufacturing areas per standard procedures.
• Maintain files and documentation.
• Operate material handling equipment to stage materials and load trucks.
• Communicate with customers, suppliers, and production.
• Coordinate and optimize shipping/receiving activities to control costs.
• Attend production meetings as needed.
