Job summary

American Cruise Lines is seeking a Cruise & Excursions Director to lead guest experiences on board and ashore for our 2026 season. The role drives entertainment, excursions, and premium experiences while coordinating with vendors and the hotel leadership team.

The Director will manage shore excursion operations, inventory, and communications with guests, ensuring outstanding service and brand representation across destinations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in hospitality, tourism, or event management preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Energetic, confident with a can-do attitude.
• Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
• Strong social skills and ability to engage guests.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Basic knowledge of audio/visual equipment.
• Excellent time management and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of U.S. geography preferred.
• TWIC credential.
• Ability to perform essential functions with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and execute engaging entertainment, enrichment and activity programs that enhance and elevate the guest experience.
• Communicate effectively with guests via shipboard programs and PA announcements.
• Be well-versed in cruising regions, ports of call and excursions offered.
• Coordinate shore excursions, pre-arrangements and vendor communications.
• Oversee inventory, logistics and vendor performance for excursions and transfers.
• Engage guests daily, promote onboard sales and brand loyalty.
• Work closely with the Hotel General Manager and home office to report status and issues.
