Job summary

American Cruise Lines is seeking a Cruise & Excursions Director for the 2026 season. The role blends on-board guest engagement with shore excursion management, vendor coordination, and upscale guest experiences aboard small-ship vessels

The position requires energetic leadership, polished presentation skills, and a passion for guest satisfaction. Reports to Hotel General Manager; involves long hours and visiting destinations across the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, tourism, or event management preferred.
• Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
• Proactive guest engagement and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and execute engaging entertainment, enrichment and activity programs.
• Create the Ship to Shore experience for guests ashore.
• Communicate with guests through daily programs and PA announcements.
• Be well-versed in cruising regions, ports of call and offered excursions.
• Confirm and adjust all shore excursions, explorations and transfers.
• Greet guests on departures and arrivals from shore excursions.
• Coordinate logistics with vendors, guides, and operators for smooth service.
• Accommodate guest requests, including personalized arrangements.
• Promote onboard sales and loyalty programs.
• Report status to Home Office on cruise progress and guest issues.
