Job summary

MOD Pizza is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead restaurant operations during scheduled shifts, train new hires, and uphold MOD’s standards. You will guide the squad, ensure guest satisfaction, and drive smooth shift performance while adapting to changing needs.

You will balance leadership, direct supervision, and hands-on work to deliver the MOD experience. This role emphasizes mentorship, operations excellence, and team development.

Qualifications

• Must have 1+ year of customer service or restaurant experience.
• Mentor, trainer or informal leader experience.
• Proven ability to prioritize and make decisions.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Proven ability to follow and coach others on processes and standards.
• Calm presence under high volume.
• Food safety certification and/or alcohol beverage certification within 30 days of start.
• Proficient in written and oral communication.
• Able to work minimum 3 shifts and 18 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift, ensuring the right squad and deployment; keep daily operations running smoothly.
• Train newly hired/promoted squad and support program rollouts.
• Maintain operating systems and equipment; oversee online ordering, catering, fundraising and reviews.
• Ensure food safety using MOD tools and standards in Back and Front of House.
• Address squad and guest concerns; escalate to AM/GM when needed.
• Manage cash within the shift accurately.
• Take inventory and place orders with GM support.
• Follow opening/midday/closing checklists and use available tools.
• Regularly review emails for updates from Slice and other sources for squad effectiveness.
