Job summary

MOD Pizza, Inc. is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead restaurant operations during scheduled shifts, train new hires, and ensure adherence to MOD’s standards. You will guide the squad, deliver excellent guest experiences, and support daily operations to keep the restaurant running smoothly.

You will deploy the right team, manage opening/closing tasks, handle orders and cash responsibly, and help implement new programs. Strong communication and a calm demeanor during peak hours are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of customer service or restaurant experience.
• Proven mentor/trainer or informal leadership experience.
• Ability to prioritize and make decisions.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Proven ability to enforce processes and standards with coaching.”
• Calm presence during high volume periods.
• Must obtain a food safety and/or alcohol beverage certification within 30 days of start date where required by law.
• Proficient in written and oral communication.
• Able to work at least 3 shifts and 18 hours per week, including peak hours.

Responsibilities

• Lead restaurant operations during scheduled shifts.
• Train newly hired/promoted squad members and support new program rollouts.
• Ensure equipment and systems are maintained to meet restaurant goals.
• Verify food safety standards in Front and Back of House.
• Address guest and squad concerns and escalate if needed.
• Manage cash within the shift, including refunds and safe access.
• Take inventory and place orders as needed with GM support.
• Complete shift checklists and use tools to meet requirements.
• Monitor communications from internal sources to keep the squad effective.
