Job summary

MOD Pizza is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead restaurant operations during scheduled shifts and support training for new hires, program rollouts, and standards adherence. You will guide the squad, ensure guest satisfaction, and uphold MOD’s values on every shift.

You’ll flex to restaurant needs, sometimes leading and sometimes performing tasks, while maintaining an exceptional MOD experience and supporting the management team.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of customer service or restaurant experience.
• Experience as a mentor, trainer, or informal leader.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and make sound decisions.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Proven ability to follow and enforce processes and standards.
• Calm and effective under high volume conditions.
• Must obtain a food safety and/or alcohol certification within 30 days where required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Availability to work at least 3 shifts and 18 hours per week, including peak times.

Responsibilities

• Deploy the right squad member to the right place; complete Deployment Charts and adjust daily operations.
• Train newly hired/promoted squad and support the team through new program rollouts and initiatives.
• Maintain operating systems and equipment, including online ordering, catering, fundraising and review systems.
• Use MOD tools and standards to ensure food safety in Back of House and Front of House.
• Listen, acknowledge, and resolve squad member and guest concerns; escalate as needed to the AM or GM.
• Manage cash within the shift accurately, including making change and processing refunds.
• Take inventory and place orders as needed, supported by the GM.
• Adhere to Opening/Midday/Closing checklists and use tools to meet requirements.
• Regularly review email for information from Slice and other sources for squad effectiveness.
