Job summary

MOD Pizza is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead restaurant operations during scheduled shifts and support training for new hires and program rollouts. You will influence the squad’s performance, guest experiences, and overall restaurant efficiency by modeling MOD’s standards and providing guidance.

You will adapt to restaurant needs, sometimes leading and sometimes assisting, while maintaining a strong MOD experience on every shift and ensuring high-quality service during peak periods.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of customer service or restaurant experience.
• Demonstrated success as a mentor, trainer or informal leader.
• Ability to prioritize and make decisions.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Proven ability to follow and enforce processes and standards; coaching in a compassionate manner.
• Calm presence during high volume periods.
• Obtain food safety and/or alcohol beverage certification within 30 days of start date where required by law.
• Proficient in written and oral communication.
• Able to work a minimum of 3 shifts and 18 hours per week, including peak hours.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift to ensure a welcoming, smooth-running restaurant that meets MOD’s standards.
• Train new hires and support program rollouts and initiatives.
• Maintain systems and equipment for restaurant goals including online ordering and catering.
• Ensure food safety practices in Back of House and Front of House.
• Address squad member and guest concerns and escalate as needed.
• Manage cash within the shift, including refunds.
• Take inventory and place orders as needed with GM support.
• Adhere to opening, midday and closing checklists and use tools to execute requirements promptly.
• Monitor communications from internal sources to keep the squad informed.
