Job summary

Firehouse Subs is seeking a Shift Leader to support the General Manager in running a profitable restaurant during scheduled shifts. This role is critical for delivering great guest experiences and maintaining a clean, compliant operation.

The candidate should be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work either day or night shifts, with weekend availability. Part-time and full-time options are available at many locations.

Qualifications

• Computer skills including some Microsoft software and register skills.
• Ability to stand, bend, reach and scoop through-out assigned shifts.
• Ability to be mobile in walk-in freezer/cooler with temperatures ranging from 40° F to -10° F.

Responsibilities

• Operate shifts under the General Manager’s guidance to ensure profitable store operations.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state and federal regulations including health, wage, age and ADA rules.
• Uphold Firehouse Subs Policies and Procedures and enforce standards.
• Manage food cost, labor, controllables, utilities and sales to drive profitability.
• Provide leadership to the restaurant team to deliver superior guest service, quality and cleanliness.
• Assist the GM with coordinating and implementing current operations plans and initiatives.
• Participate in interviewing, hiring, training and disciplining employees under GM oversight.
• Ensure all required programs, reports and legal documents are accurate and completed on schedule.
• Represent Firehouse Subs professionally and positively at all times.
• Communicate any issues that may impact the business to the GM/Owner.
• Able to work on their feet for up to 13 hours; lift up to 50 lbs.
• Other duties assigned by GM/Owner.
