Job summary

Firehouse Subs is seeking a Part-time Shift Leader to support store operations and lead team members during scheduled shifts. You will ensure timely service, high-quality food, and a positive guest experience while upholding Firehouse Subs standards.

Ideal candidates will have proven food service management experience, strong leadership, and familiarity with POS systems. Flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays are required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in food service management or supervising roles within quick service or fast food restaurants.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for accurate cash handling.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train staff, manage shifts, and promote teamwork.
• Background in food safety regulations and inventory control practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily restaurant operations during your shift, ensuring efficient food preparation, timely service, and excellent customer experiences.
• Lead and motivate team members by providing guidance, training, and support to uphold service standards.
• Manage cash handling procedures and operate POS systems such as TOAST
• Control inventory levels by monitoring stock, assisting with ordering, and minimizing waste to keep costs in check.
• Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are consistently met through proper food handling and cleanliness practices.
• Assist in staff scheduling, interviewing potential team members, and conducting ongoing training & development initiatives.
• Handle customer inquiries or concerns promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels and foster positive relationships.
• Foster an environment of team work
• Adhere to all food, safety and security guidelines
• Responsible for delivering an exceptional customer and store experience
• Greet and thank every customer with a smile and eye contact
