Job summary

MOD Pizza, Inc. is seeking a Restaurant Shift Supervisor to lead a shift, train new hires, and uphold MOD standards while delivering outstanding guest experiences. This role requires managing operations, cash handling, inventory, and ensuring food safety across Front and Back of House.

The Shift Supervisor will mentor teammates, respond to guest concerns, and collaborate with management to drive smooth restaurant performance on busy shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of customer service or restaurant experience.
• Proven ability to mentor, train or lead informally.
• Ability to prioritize and make decisions under pressure.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Follow and coach processes and standards compassionately.
• Calm presence during high-volume periods.
• Procure a food safety and/or alcohol beverage certification within 30 days where required.

Responsibilities

• Lead restaurant operations during shifts to ensure smooth, welcoming service.
• Train new hires and support program rollouts and standards.
• Manage equipment, online ordering, catering, fundraising, and customer review systems during shifts.
• Ensure food safety using MOD tools and standards in back and front of house.
• Listen to squad and guest concerns; escalate issues to AM/GM as needed.
• Manage cash within the shift, including making change and refunds.
• Take inventory and place orders as needed with GM support.
• Follow opening/midday/closing checklists and communicate updates from Slice and other sources.
