Job summary

Yoshinoya America, Inc. seeks an on-site supervisor/shift leader at our Paramount, CA location. You will supervise crew, assist the GM, and ensure adherence to Yoshinoya standards for food safety, presentation, and guest relations.

You will back up crew during breaks and help with daily cash handling and reporting. The role requires strong English communication, basic arithmetic with US currency, and a commitment to a safe, clean kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• Fluent English (written and verbal).
• Read and understand simple instructions, memos, and short correspondence.
• Write simple correspondence and speak effectively to customers.

Responsibilities

• Supervise crew during shifts and assist GM in directing staff.
• Ensure food, beverages, and service meet Yoshinoya specifications and safety standards.
• Handle cash procedures, deposits, and reports as directed by management.
• Train staff and provide feedback; monitor activities and enforce FIFO inventory.
• Respond to customer complaints per policy and escalate when refunds are needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and safe work environment; report injuries.
• Communicate effectively with staff and management and participate in in-house seminars.
