Job summary

Applegreen USA, operating Welcome Centers across the Northeast and Midwest, is seeking a Shift Supervisor in New Jersey. You will lead on-shift teams, ensure exceptional customer service, and uphold brand standards and food safety requirements.

Responsibilities include opening, daily and closing procedures, operating the POS system, training new team members, and actively cross-selling products. Flexible scheduling and a fast-paced environment await.

Qualifications

• Cash handling and customer service experience required.
• Shift supervisor or leadership experience preferred.
• Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of team members on shift.
• Consistently provide friendly customer service by engaging in positive, helpful interactions with customers and resolve complaints.
• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists in accordance with company policies.
• Operate POS system, accurately process and receive payment from customers, and follow policies.
• Ensure proper food handling procedures including wrapping, labelling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating, and checking temperature.
• Complete with a variety of kitchen-related tasks including prepping, thawing, cooking, packaging, wrapping, and cleaning.
• Stock, clean, and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Actively cross-sell and up-sell products.
• Maintain knowledge of plaza products and services.
• Assist in training of new team members.
• Follow brand standards, food safety requirements, and company policies.
• Inform plaza leadership of observations or concerns.
• Execute a variety of other tasks as assigned.
